Elche Deportivo, la primera revista deportiva de la historia de Elche

Abstract

La prensa deportiva en Elche tuvo un principio y un origen, se llamó Elche Deportivo. Elche Deportivo fue la primera revista deportiva de la historia de la ciudad ilicitana. El semanario cuenta con once ejemplares, el primero data del 17 de noviembre de 1925 y el último del 19 de enero de 1926. Su director era José Valero Castaño, comerciante de Alberto Asencio, una persona de alto nivel en la ciudad ilicitana. La época de la aparición de la revista, su redacción, su precio, su publicidad, las anécdotas de cada número, sus fundadores y la relación con la ciudad y el Elche C.F. y su trayectoria son diversos ámbitos interesantes en los que indagar para el amante de la prensa deportiva y ver cómo ha ido evolucionando hasta el día de hoy. En definitiva, un semanario que marcó el camino a seguir para las generaciones posteriores que quisieran dedicarse a contar lo que pasaba en la ciudad ilicitana en el ámbito deportivo.
