Las emociones de la pandemia. Educación y Sanidad.

Abstract

La enfermedad del Covid-19 ha supuesto un gran cambio en el ámbito social, político, demográfico, sanitario y educativo a nivel mundial. De ahí nace la necesidad de conocer la situación por la que han pasado dos grandes sectores de nuestro país, el sanitario y el educativo. Este trabajo de fin de máster tiene como finalidad el estudio de estos dos tipos de profesionales afectados en primera línea y sus emociones percibidas. Esta investigación proporciona una visión más amplia de todo lo sucedido en primera línea de batalla contra la Covid-19, para lo cual se tienen datos de 12 centros repartidos por toda la geografía española. De ellos, 5 forman parte del sector sanitario y 7 del sector educativo. También hay que destacar que, de un total de 147 personas encuestadas, 97 de ellas son pertenecientes al sector sanitario y 50 al sector educativo. Los resultados muestran la existencia de diferencias significativas entre los dos tipos de profesionales, así como entre hombres y mujeres, en sus experiencias emocionales en el trabajo durante la Covid-19, y también en el clima de seguridad que percibían en su entorno de trabajo para la protección contra el virus. Asimismo, las diferencias individuales en miedo ante la Covid-19, así como el clima de seguridad que había en sus organizaciones durante la pandemia, ayuda a predecir sus reacciones emocionales durante la pandemia. Hay que ser conscientes de que este fenómeno que llegó hace un año, aún sigue existiendo y que, aún aquellas personas que están más involucradas en frenar todo el colapso sanitario y cuidar de aquellas personas más afectadas, sufren episodios de estrés laboral, ansiedad, etc. El estudio nos va a permitir tener una visión de las relaciones que existen entre las emociones abordadas. Por consiguiente, la manifestación de estas dividiendo al grupo por genero o sector al que se pertenece y por ultimo se mostrara como se manifiestan las emociones a nivel individual o colectivo evitando la segmentación.

The COVID-19 disease has brought about major changes in the social, political, demographic, health and educational spheres across the world. Hence the need to know the situation that two major professional groups in our country have gone through due the pandemic: the health and education sectors. The aim of this master's thesis is to study these two types of professionals who were directly affected by it, and their corresponding perceived emotions. This research provides a broader overview of everything that has happened on the front line, for which we have data from 12 centres throughout Spain. Of these, 5 are part of the health sector and 7 of the education one. It should also be noted that out of a total of 147 people surveyed, 97 belonged to the health, and 50 to the education sector, respectively. The results here presented show significant differences between the two types of professionals, as well as differences between men and women, both in their emotional job experiences during the pandemic, and their perception of their jobs' security environments against the virus. Additionally, the individual differences regarding their fear towards the COVID-19, and the security environment present in their institutions during the pandemic, helped predicting their reactions during this time. We must be aware that this phenomenon, which started a year ago, still exists and that even those people who are most involved in preventing the collapse of the healthcare system and care for those most affected suffer episodes of work-related stress, anxiety, etc. This study provides an insight into the relations that exist among all the emotions here addressed and, additionally, the expression of these emotions by sector or gender group. Finally, we also show how the emotions are expressed at an individual or collective level, in an attempt to avoid segmentation.
