Introduction: This project studies a contribution by means of aquatic therapy (TA) on a clinical case of Multiple Sclerosis (ME). This is a demyelinating inflammatory disease that concerns the SNC, in a chronic form and disabling. The AT is a therapeutic complement for people with a neurological disorder, thus achieving effects that would be difficult to obtain and belated than indoors. Objective: The project’s main aim is to study the efficiency AT has as treatment in a clinical case of ME who has the treatment 3 days a week for 45 minute sessions. Material and method: To establish the aims of the treatment, there is a protocol of initial assessment that gathers information on the clinical case and the functional evaluation (Berg's scale, Tinetti's test, modified scale "Asworth" …). The case is of a 57-year-old female diagnosed with progressive secondary ME. Afterwards is the involvement of performing exercises for balance, reeducation of movements and walking. Results: To emphasise a slight decrease of muscle fatigue, enough to carry out getting dressed and pulling up trousers in a stable standing position. In the same way, climbing the stairs at home will take less time. Conclusions: To demonstrate the efficiency of the rehabilitation in the disease ME, whose evolution it is impossible to affect, is very complicated. In spite of this and, thanks to the applied AT of continued form, that is to say, it contributes clear benefits to physical, physiological and social level.
