Propuesta de programa de arteterapia en pacientes oncológicos hospitalizados.

Abstract

Introducción: El cáncer es una de las principales causas de morbilidad y mortalidad en el mundo. En España, se detectaron 228.482 nuevos casos de cáncer en 2017. Existen diferentes tipos de tratamientos para cáncer, donde su objetivo principal es la cura de la enfermedad o si no fuera posible, ofrecer cuidados paliativos. Muchos de los hospitales que se encargan de la rehabilitación del cáncer no se centran íntegramente en la calidad de vida de los pacientes. Tras la búsqueda se ha podido observar que existen beneficios de Arteterapia en distintos colectivos. No se encuentra gran evidencia de estudios en España pero si existen asociaciones y hospitales que realizan Arteterapia con cáncer por lo que es importante realizar más investigaciones para comprobar si existen realmente los beneficios de estas terapias en pacientes oncológicos. Objetivo: Evaluar los efectos de técnicas y actividades artísticas en los síntomas psicológicos, emocionales y funcionales de pacientes oncológicos dentro de un entorno hospitalario. Material y métodos: Pacientes dentro del servicio de oncología médica del Hospital Clínico Universitario San Juan de Alicante. Se recogerán datos sociodemográficos y clínicos mediante la escala EORTC QLQ-C30 de calidad de vida, Escala de Ansiedad y Depresión Hospitalaria (HADS), Escala de Estrés Percibido (PSS) y Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy: Fatigue (FACIT-F). La intervención constará de 4 fases, recibiendo 2 sesiones a la semana durante 3 meses con una duración de 45 minutos. Se realizarán 3 talleres distintos de arte practicando en su mayoría la pintura.

There are different types of treatments for cancer, where their main objective is to cure the disease or if it is not possible, to offer palliative care. Many of the hospitals that are responsible for cancer rehabilitation do not focus entirely on the quality of life of patients. After the research has been observed that there are benefits of Art Therapy in different groups. There are not many studies in Spain but there are associations and hospitals that perform Art Therapy with cancer, it is therefore important to carry out more research to see if the benefits of these therapies really exist in oncological patients. Objective: The objective is to evaluate the effects of techniques and artistic activities on the psychological, emotional and functional symptoms of oncological patients within a hospital environment. Material and methods: Patients of the medical oncology service in the Hospital Clínico Universitario San Juan de Alicante. Sociodemographic and clinical data will be collected using the EORTC QLQ-C30 scale of quality of life, Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS), Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) and Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy: Fatigue (FACIT-F). The intervention will consist of 4 phases, receiving 2 sessions a week for 3 months of 45 minutes. There will be 3 different art workshops practicing mostly painting. KEY
