Tax fraud has become one of the main problems for different countries. In recent years it has been one of the most recurrent topics in the media. The different methods to defraud have been updated and perfected over time. Nowadays, the ease of reaching them and the variety of options has caused their use to increase considerably. One of the most used are tax havens. Territories characterized by applying a favorable tax regime for foreign capital: zero or very low taxation, fiscal flexibility and confidentiality. The mechanisms developed by these countries and the services provided have caused great fortunes to set their sights on them. The increase in its use in recent years has made the numbers they keep really worrying. Another consequence of this practice is the loss of revenue suffered by many of the countries where large fortunes generate their benefits. Another of the great fiscal problems that Spain has is the high index of the underground economy. Some estimates speak of it being around 22% of GDP, while the European average is around 15%. In this case, there are several reasons that direct us to this data. The media have echoed this problem. They have closely followed the cases of corruption that have taken place in our country in recent years, and which have induced outrage and weariness in society. Journalism has played an important role in uncovering many corruption scandals. The treatment carried out on these aspects by the media and the importance they give to each publication is fundamental. Their work is key to reporting, educating and raising awareness about taxation and, ultimately, trying to stop fraud as much as possible
