Introduction and Objectives: To perform the analysis of a study on the risk of existing silicosis in a marble processing company, the company has been evaluated as such in response to the three preventive specialties of Safety at Work, Industrial Hygiene and ergonomics and Applied Psychology and a tour of all the areas covered and disease prevention for health surveillance is concerned about it. It has also carried out an analysis of a study on silica dust exposure in marble company, focusing on the role of Operator endings, finishes and fittings of natural stone. Finally, we have detailed preventative to consider regarding this exhibition. Methodology: For the preparation of this study has been conducted a literature review in scientific databases and highly relevant organizations on Silicosis. On the other hand, it has detailed a study in marble company on the existing exposure to silica dust in it, through data collection, sampling techniques and analytical methods of the National Institute of Health (NIH). This study was conducted on January 14, 2015 in a company natural stone processing, storage for assembly and sale of the works and / or the client's home, in Murcia. Results: After conducting a literature review and analysis of the study in the company, have obtained results of breathable fraction and values of exposure to free silica below the limits of detection and accreditation concerning the exposure index studied, taking into account the Environmental Exposure Limit Values Daily (TWA) proposed by the National Institute for Safety and Health at Work (INSHT). Discussion and limitations: Assessing the risk of working in an environment where there is a sufficient amount of silica dust that can foster the development of silicosis, we believe that a key role in the improvement and prevention of it, lies in the health surveillance and preventive measures are carried out during handling of the material with which they work. The limitations found focus the limited practice time for a new study and compare results with the aim of assessing whether there has been any change regarding the hygienic risk and exposure applies. Conclusions: In summary, we have demonstrated with the analysis of this study so far, thanks to the preventive measures provided for in the company and the appropriate medical checks, not the reference value of exposure exceeds free silica in the post studied, so it follows that there is no hygienic risk in that position. Despite these results, because the exposure values of breathable dust fraction are in the range of uncertainty (between 0.1-1), we recommend future studies to compare results and provide an objective decision regarding the risk exposure in the workplace. We emphasize the importance of health surveillance in the workplace as a key control and early detection of occupational diseases item
