The increase in the consumption of information through smartphones and tablets has favored a metamorphosis in the media ecosystem due to the fact that the opportunities for digital journalism development have multiplied and new narratives have appeared. Navigation facilities, interactivity, multimedia potential, improvement of the user experience and the emulsion between tradition and innovation because they have reunited the best of print and Internet have been some of the attractions that have captivated entrepreneurs in the Spanish editorial market to innovate through the creation of journalistic products designed ad hoc for mobile devices. These projects make their way in Spain among the magazines of big communication groups such as Condé Nast Digital, Hearst and G + J, who decides to offer the same contents of their printed publications on downloading platforms for tablets as Apple Store or Google Store without outstanding modifications in its design and contents. In this way, these entrepreneurs assume the challenge of innovating by offering interactive and creative content to satisfy the new needs of users. This investigation is a project of immersion in the new Spanish pure players publications for tablets, mostly created by micro business, with the objective of analyzing their penetration, transcendence and future perspectives in the Spanish publishing market.
