Introduction: Breast cancer is the most frequent malignant neoplasm in women. The main treatment used is chemotherapy, which produces adverse effects in the body. The chief purpose of this dissertation is to identify which side effects produce chemotherapy drugs at the nail and dermal level in the lower limbs. Material and Methods: The descriptive study has been carried out in women with breast cancer treated with chemotherapy. The data collection was done through an AD HOC questionnaire. The sample consists of 52 participants, 11 of whom were excluded because they were a statistically insignificant sample to know the frequency of appearance of nail and skin conditions. Results: Placlitaxel and docetaxel were studied as chemotherapeutic drugs. Firstly, with placlitaxel the alterations with higher frequency of occurrence were onycholysis and subungual hyperkeratosis with 15.56%, melanonychia with 13.33% and hand-foot syndrome with 36.13%. In the case of docetaxel, the alterations were Beau's lines with 20.4%, onycholysis with 18.36%, subungual hyperkeratosis with 16.32% and dermatomycosis with 37.50%. Conclusion: It is observed that the greater the number of chemotherapy cycles, the higher the accumulation of drug in the organism, therefore there exists an increased risk of appearance of conditionses_ES
