Objective: Know the most frequent injuries of the lower limb in rugby players. Classify them according to the structure they affect and find out the variables that increase their appearance. Materials and methods: It is a descriptive, observational and transversal study. To carry it out, a questionnaire has been made to rugby players to know the necessary data. Four teams have participated and a final sample of 36 athletes has been obtained. The average age of the participants is 24.58 years and the average IMC is 29.07. Results: 75% of the respondents have injuries in the lower limb. 40 injuries have been recorded. Of all of them, 42.5% are in the ankle, the 20% being in ligaments. The knee is the second most affected anatomical area, accounting for 35% of the total injuries, with 22.5% of its ligaments occurring. More than 80% of the injuries have been of moderate or severe severity. Variables that interfere in the increase of pathologies, it is observed that the greatest number of readers has IMC classified as overweight. Also, age does have a relationship. 58.33% of the interviewees wear rugby footwear and 41.66% other footwear. Of the front players, 76% have been played and 72.73% of the players in the quarters. Conclusions: Ligamentous knee involvement is the most common lesion, followed by ankle ligament pathology. The older the age, the fewer pathologies the players suffer and the participants in the overweight range of the IMC are the most likely to suffer them. The position of the player in the rugby field is not a variable for the increase of injured. As for footwear, don’t detected significant differences between players who use different types of footwear. In rugby, injuries occur more frequently to tackler.
